St Bernard Results

The fifth annual (or was it the sixth?) St Bernard Soap Box Derby Rally took place yesterday under warm sunny skies. Results listed below but first a BIG thank you to our hosts, the City of St. Bernard for setting up and breaking down the race course on Tower Ave. Thanks, too, to Don Tobertge for his planning efforts throughout the year -- and his 5 a.m. raceday start time.
Another thank you to our new volunteers, Elaine Brinkman and Melanie Goodwin who jumped in to help at the top of the hill. And to the rest of our regular race committee and crew, thanks for another great event.

We had another double-double yesterday

Red Dog still on, just no points

The Red Dog Rally, slated for this weekend, is still scheduled to go off as planned but the sanctioning has been dropped -- meaning drivers will not earn Akron points for their participation. This was done as a cost-saving measure by CSBD. Entries expected are mostly Stock division cars and possibly some Super Stocks. No Masters cars are expected.

Rental cars are available for Sunday, Saturday rentals are dwindling. If you want to try out Derby racing and borrow a car, please reserve a spot in advance.

Red Dog Derby (Rally): April 28-29, 2012

Red Dog Derby Pre-registration Special.

Pre-Register and pay for all four races by April 24 (that means in our hands) and take $40 off the registration fee. Only $25 per race. No limit. Pre-register as many cars and driver as you want.

After April 24, registration fees go back to normal rates: $35 per race and $30 per sibling/race if registered for same race.

Red Dog is a wonderful temporary street race course in a green retirement community. The runout out area was just resurfaced this month.
